Agriturismo Speziale Wine resort

We came away with full hearts and a real affection for Verduno. The comfort of the room, lovely grounds, and pool were all part of it, but it was the kindness and hospitality that made the stay mean so much. From our arrival, Katia and the staff greeted us like old friends, even though it was our first visit, and kept making us feel welcome. Breakfast each morning was beautiful: fresh fruit and juices, homemade pastries, yogurt, eggs, and crepes, with plenty to choose from. Everything seemed even better because it was served with such care and pride in sharing the best of Italy. Thank you again, Katia. Speziale is a special place, and we hope to return.

Ludovica’s winery tour was a highlight, full of great insight, and I’m grateful to her and the whole team. Experiences like that are what stay with you about Piemonte. The Speziale also makes a convenient base in the center of Verduno, with the hills, wineries, and food of Piemonte close by. Come with a sense of curiosity and Katia will take care of the rest. She’s created an intimate retreat for just a handful of guests, but it feels as welcoming as a friend’s home. The atmosphere is peaceful, the small details are thoughtful, and Katia and her team seem to anticipate what you need without making a show of it. That natural warmth reflects the hospitality you find around Piedmont, especially in the Barolo region. It’s simply part of the place, and The Speziale is a lovely example.

The vineyard and Alps views were unbelievable, and we loved the pool and sauna area. The wine hotel also went out of its way to arrange dinner reservations and suggest wine tours. We really enjoyed touring their winery too. Such a perfect place to stay, we loved it and can’t recommend it enough.

The pool area was great, and our room was spacious and cozy, with breathtaking views. The owner and staff took care of every detail from the moment we arrived until we left. It’s an amazing place with the kind of service that makes it feel like a little piece of heaven. While you’re there, a tour of the historic winery Fratelli Allessandria is a must. It’s just a few blocks from the hotel. All excellent.
