Falling asleep with the window open to the sound of waves below was wonderful. The room, service, views, and friendly staff were all great, and there's a huge terrace upstairs for sun and taking in the view. It's a hidden gem in Vernazza, with a million dollar view for a few hundred dollars. The stairs between the station and hotel are the one drawback, but the place is well worth the climb. We only stayed two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

The views are the best part. From the rooftop terrace, which belongs to all the apartments at Villa Elisabetta, we could see all of Vernazza, and we had it to ourselves. There's another outdoor terrace beside the apartments. Lots of windows look out to the cliffs and open sea, with clear blue water, and you can hear the sea from the bedroom. Staff were around now and then to ask if we needed toilet paper or anything else. The apartment is very basic, with quite old furniture. The fridge wasn't very clean, and the bathroom is tiny. Showering floods the toilet area, especially awkward with long hair, and there's a shower curtain. The bed and bedroom are also tiny. The room is triangular, leaving hardly any space for a suitcase or clothes, and there's no wardrobe or bedside table. The spiral stairs to the rooftop are very narrow, and the apartment isn't suitable if you're afraid of heights. There are lots of steps to reach the accommodation, so avoid heavy suitcases and bring a backpack if possible. By car, you have to leave it outside Vernazza and take a shuttle. Even from the train station, there are many stairs to walk. Try the Tiramisu at the restaurant closest to the apartment!

It's very peaceful and quiet here, with lovely views over Vernazza. Just expect lots of steps when getting around Cinque Terre.
