A handy closet is stocked with snacks, water, coffee and maps, and Giuliano and his wife look after the property with real care. If you're after a quaint, well-kept stay with a classic Italian feel in Vernazza, this is a great choice.

The outdoor tables have an amazing view over town, and the room comes with sweet snacks, beach towels and a fridge shelf stocked with water. Elena was so friendly and professional. She met us at the station and even carried my bag up the stairs. The rooms are gorgeous and very well kept. Just be aware of all the stairs, since this place won't work for people with mobility issues.

We loved having our own roof terrace at Villino Sofia. The garden setting felt private and made the room feel more like an apartment than just a room, with amazing views. It was only two minutes from the station and five from the harbour. We also appreciated the friendly welcome, beach towels, guide books and snacks. The small kitchen area and fridge made breakfast and storing food easy. We'd stay again without hesitation.

The garden terrace has a lovely view over town, and the home is cared for beautifully. It's secluded, though the walk up from the train station means a lot of steep steps. If you're travelling light and don't have mobility issues, it's hard to beat.

We spent five days in Vernazza, and Giuliano was a wonderful host who kept everything in great condition. He gave us several spot-on ideas for day trips. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable, and we liked having a shared outdoor area to relax in during the hottest part of the day, with a breeze and a sea view. A wonderful stay!
