The stairs are no joke, so come prepared, but they lead to amazing views. We loved the terrace looking straight out over the sea, and staying in Vernazza worked well because it’s central and made train trips to other towns for dinner easy. Casa Gabriella was modern and clean, with two great bathrooms and a washer. The kitchen was well equipped, though its ceiling was very low in the way you get in an old building. We weren’t planning to cook, and the photos clearly show the low ceiling, so we knew ahead of time. The ceilings in the other rooms were completely fine. We spent three nights here and highly recommend it.

We were all really happy with Casa Gabriella and would love to come back. Marcello was a wonderful, very responsive host who helped us a lot, and check-in was easy. The location was perfect, just steps from Vernazza’s sights. The property has three levels. You enter on the first; the second has three bedrooms and a room with a washing machine, but no dryer. One bedroom is the master, with its own bathroom and shower, while a second bathroom and shower is near the other two bedrooms. Upstairs, the third level has the living room, a balcony with an amazing view, and a nice kitchen with a large refrigerator.

The view is the only thing this property has going for it. The sheets were sandy, fixtures were hanging out of the ceiling, the shower had mold, and the fixtures were old. The washer wasn’t accessible, and there were no basics like soap, detergent, shower gel, or bath gel. The stairs with luggage are brutal, and nobody greeted us when we arrived. Save your money.
