La Petrusa

Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of homemade and local products. The owners were so kind and helpful, they made us feel at home. The rooms are lovely studios with their own entrances, set in a beautifully kept garden, and the location is fantastic.

We only had one night here while passing through, and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s a peaceful little oasis for a couple, on your own, or with friends, with the owners’ kindness adding so much to the stay. The garden is lovely in the evening, with lights and comfortable places to sit beside the vegetable patch. Book ahead if you want an aperitivo or aperitivo dinner there. Salento’s popular beaches are about a 15-20 minute drive away.

The garden was beautifully cared for by Mr. Amedeo, and we loved sitting there for the generous breakfast Mrs. Giusy prepared. Petrusa is such a charming, peaceful place, surrounded by nature, with a cozy room and very welcoming people. We always enjoyed chatting with them. The breakfasts under the pergola deserve a special mention for their freshness, variety, and quality. Reserve an aperocena too, served with local products, elegant presentation, and soft music in a lovely setting. We had a relaxing stay in a bucolic atmosphere, in a place with a really distinctive, refined decor. A big thank you to the family for being so warm and attentive while giving us our space! :)
