The location is nice, but our stay was the worst hotel experience we’ve had on our trips to Italy. We were glad it was only one night. From the moment we arrived, the two sisters were unfriendly and had a bad attitude, which made it hard to feel comfortable. We waited 45 minutes to check in because they were asleep and didn’t answer the phone or doorbell. They also tried to push an early check-in, saying “booking is wrong.” Breakfast was sparse: three slices of salami for two people. When we came back for bread, it had been taken away even though it was only 10 AM and breakfast was meant to run until 10:30. We also weren’t allowed to use the swimming pool the morning we were leaving at 11 AM. The road is unpaved and unsuitable for low city cars, though that wasn’t an issue for us because our car sits high. There must be better places with friendlier staff and better rooms.

We liked the natural setting and the view, though the road there is unpaved. The soundproofing was very poor, so in the morning we could hear people walking past as if they were in our room. Service attitude was an issue at check-in, check-out, and breakfast. We’d messaged two months before arrival and got no reply. Once there, we called, sent a platform message, and rang the bell. They finally opened the door after about 30 minutes.

The views are amazing, and it’s a nicely secluded place to stay without being too far from the city.

I hosted a birthday party for more than 40 guests at Agriturismo Corte Maccini and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. Elena and the whole staff were friendly and helpful from the start, and made us feel at home. Set in the hills, just 10 km from Verona, it’s a lovely natural setting for this kind of event. Dinner was excellent, with tasty food and very good value. Some guests visiting from out of town stayed overnight and were pleased with the rooms and breakfast too. I’d absolutely recommend it for its setting, comfort, and hospitality.
