Coming from NYC, I was surprised by how much space I had, including two armoires just for me. I stayed a year ago while studying wines of Valpolicella, and the place was clean, with an easy walk to restaurants, museums, shops, and the Colosseum. There’s also a grocery store, pharmacy, and wineshop nearby, so it felt possible to live there rather than just sightsee. The winged bulbs along the wall by the spiral staircase add a whimsical touch. 💡🕊

Everything was clean, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to the city center, though ask for a quiet room at the back. Parking is a bit of a hassle and expensive. Check-in takes place at hotel Firenze, so don’t get mixed up.

The room had what we needed for a comfortable stay, including a little kitchen for making lunch or dinner. I also liked the small balcony, a lovely spot for morning coffee with a view of Verona. We could walk to all the city’s sights from here. There were four of us. The double bed was comfortable, but the sofa bed for the other two wasn’t. At first, we were given just one key, which controlled all the room’s electricity, including the lights, fridge, and air conditioning. When we asked for another, the administration gave us one right away.

A welcoming, well-kept place with a hot tub and kitchenette. It’s a modern option for staying in central Verona, and you can choose between renting the apartment alone or getting the full hotel services.
