B&B Samuel

The room was comfortable and came with its own bathroom. Samuele, the owner, was kind and helpful.

It has the basics covered, including air conditioning, and works well for a short visit if you get a good rate. It's west of Verona, off a secondary road, and Google Maps gets the location right. The railway runs nearby, so there's noise. Light sleepers should bring earplugs. For a trip into Verona's center, the nearest parking option is the paid lot at the Arsenale.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and both the room and private bathroom were spotless. The B&B is very good overall, but the description mentioned air conditioning and a refrigerator, neither of which the room had. There was no soap either. It also didn't mention that the railway line passes just a few meters from the room.

Getting into the city center is convenient thanks to the good transport links, and the price is reasonable. The staff were very friendly, which is why I'm giving it stars. But the room was freezing. I know it was autumn, but I can't imagine how it would feel in winter. The trains are another issue: you hear them from 5:00 in the morning until midnight, since the place is right by the tracks. It could have been very comfortable otherwise.
