At $90 AUD, you get what you pay for, especially since staying in Italy isn't cheap. Verona is small, so the location worked well, and the building has a lift for suitcases. My bedroom was neat and clean. Finding the place was tricky: it's inside a building on level 2. The decor and rooms feel very outdated, and the single room I booked felt like a private room in a hostel. It didn't have the cosy, character-filled B&B feel I expected.

The bed was really comfortable and didn't squeak much, and the air conditioning was a welcome break from the 33-degree heat. It's also very close to central Verona. I wouldn't really call it a proper B&B, though. Let them know an hour before you arrive, or you might end up waiting outside for 30 minutes like I did. The guy said he'd be there in five minutes, but clearly his idea of five minutes is different from mine.

Breakfast had plenty of choices, and there's a little balcony. My room was clean and comfortable, and the man who met me was friendly and helpful, though I can't remember his name. It was a little hard to find, but otherwise great. A lovely place to stay.

The room size was okay and the location is close to the city centre, but there were ants in the bathroom sink. The decor is dated and kitschy, and the staff weren't very friendly. The air conditioning setting is shared across all the rooms, and everything at breakfast comes in plastic packaging.

It was a little hard to find, but the rooms, bathroom, and toilets were nice and clean. Breakfast was great. A good place to stay for a day or more in Verona.
