The patio was a lovely bonus, and the room itself was very nice. Staff were kind and helpful, and they gave us a city map. It’s a great base for walking around historic Verona, with shops and places to eat close by. The train station is quite a walk, but I’d happily stay here again.

We were always able to find a parking space within about 100 feet of the hotel, and the pass they provide for the paid street parking in the zone worked much better than I expected. It’s only a five-minute walk to the arena and Piazza Bra, where we saw the opera one night. The staff also gave us great food recommendations and stored our bikes since, for some reason, they weren’t allowed in the rooms. Breakfast service was good, though the food seemed a bit lower quality than at other three-star hotels we’ve stayed in. It was decent enough. This is a great three-star hotel in a fabulous spot. I just wish the air conditioning were stronger in summer.

The breakfast was great fuel for a busy day, and the cappuccino was fantastic. Really stunning hotel, with super friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

The room was clean and nice enough, with a hot shower, working AC, and smart home features. Mornings were a bit noisy, but it didn’t disturb us overnight. Still, we left with a bad impression after checkout. The receptionist asked whether we wanted to leave something for the staff, even though we’d stayed just two nights and hadn’t requested housekeeping. We tip when it’s appropriate in the US, but we knew that tipping isn’t customary in Italy, and the question put us on the spot. We second-guessed ourselves and left more than an Italian hotel would likely expect for such a short stay. Maybe they ask everyone, but it felt as if the receptionist knew we were American and took advantage of that. I’ve traveled widely in Europe and had never been asked this before. It was poor taste, and I’d caution other tourists. This would have been five stars if the price had been better for our dates. It was the most expensive part of our trip, but not the nicest.
