The room was nicely decorated, with a balcony view, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. The outlets worked with Italian as well as German and Austrian plugs. It’s on the fourth floor of an apartment building, so you’ll need to carry your bags upstairs the first time. There is an elevator, and although it looks a little unsafe, it worked fine. The online key seemed like it might be tricky, but opening the door with a click worked well throughout our four-day stay. It could be a problem if your phone battery dies or you can’t get online. The place is about a 15-minute walk from the central station and not too hard to find. Bus connections are good and run fairly often, and the online PDF bus map and daily ticket made getting around easy. We had a nice stay, though for sightseeing I’d suggest coming for less than four days. Verona itself doesn’t have that much to offer for a sightseeing trip, so two or three days would be better. That’s general advice, not a criticism of the hotel.

The room itself was really good, but I don’t think the location should be described as near the center. Walking there took at least 30 minutes along the highway, through an empty, unattractive area with poor air quality. There was no sidewalk, and a local told us not to walk that way after dark. We felt we had to take a taxi into town every time, about €15 each way, or €30 a day. Even reaching the station meant asking for a taxi, despite it being a 20-minute walk away.

The rooms were lovely and very clean, and the location was fine. For the price, it was okay, but we got no rest because of the noise. You can hear everything: the neighbors’ TV blares, there’s drilling all day long, and Arabic music plays every morning. I’d stay again if it weren’t so loud.

The building is in pretty rough shape, and the thin walls let in noise from other guests, cars, and everything else. I also got stuck in the bathroom for an hour when the lock stopped working. The location is a long way from everything, despite being advertised as close by. Expect long walks through a very hot, smelly city.
