Dreaming Arena Rooms

Paulo was accommodating and helpful, and the room was lovely, with a beautiful view across the river to the castle, especially at night. The rooms were a good size, though watch your head in some of them because the sloping roof is low. We didn’t realize Dreaming arena rooms has two locations at first, which cost us a few extra minutes finding ours. From there, the station was a 15-minute walk and the town center about 10 minutes, with everything easy to reach. Verona felt completely safe to us. There’s also a fantastic, very cheap pizza place just around the corner, run by a couple. You can get slices or have a whole pizza made, and it was the best we tasted. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend the place.

It felt like paying to stay in a shared flat, with no extra services and no help from the owner. We couldn’t leave our luggage after checkout, and the price didn’t feel justified by what we got.

The location and setting are great, but the service was awful and a real shame for a B&B. There’s an extra fee for checking in after 18.30 that isn’t mentioned anywhere. The owner was quick to respond, but repeatedly shouted at me on the phone for reasons I found unreasonable. Courtesy and politeness didn’t seem to be part of the experience. The bathroom was dirty and leaking, parts of the wall around the bathtub were missing, and the windows had cracks. The dividing walls are literally paper thin. By Murphy’s law, you’ll surely end up hearing someone else’s sexual activity.

90 % of the photos aren’t real, and the staff only speak Italian. We spent 3 out of 4 days without a wash basin because it was broken. Everything here leaves a lot to be desired.
