Just days before I was due to arrive, Locami Fondaco Medievale canceled the reservation I’d made more than a month earlier, without giving a valid reason. Their only response was a cold message telling me to find somewhere else to stay. I’ve traveled for years and haven’t had a host treat me with such disrespect. There was no accountability or support, and they showed no regard for their guests. I wouldn’t trust this place with my travel plans. If you value peace of mind, stay away. Plenty of other accommodations are run by people who won’t leave you stranded at the last minute.

The canals nearby are lovely at sunset, and it’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the Arena. Our room had a kitchen with basic cooking utensils, and the self check-in was handy. The place was clean and decent for a short stay. Just be aware there’s no lift, so carrying large suitcases could be difficult.

The rooms are clean, and the low price makes up for how plain and characterless they feel. It’s easy to get in and close to the city centre, with lots of good places to eat nearby.
