The ending to our stay was odd and disappointing: on the second and last day there was no breakfast, and we left without seeing anyone, even after other guests asked us whether we’d had it. The breakfast setup and service were the weak points here. The first morning was okay, but the host brought coffee after we’d finished eating, and the furniture wasn’t suited to the purpose. Still, this is a clean, comfortable, fairly inexpensive B&B for visiting Verona. Parking right outside by the address was easy, and the rooms seemed recently modernised with everything we needed.

The villa and garden are magnificent, and the renovation shows care in every detail. We had a relaxed evening during a storm, then a lovely sunny morning, and breakfast made our day. Francesca and Riccardo were perfect hosts. We also loved Maria and both cats. If you want to be away from the crowds and feel part of the family for a while, this is the place. We stayed one night.

It’s about a 20-minute bus ride from the city centre, and getting there and back isn’t the easiest. We booked three nights. The rooms were tastefully done and soundproof, which was useful since the B&B is on a main road. Breakfast was okay. After a full day sightseeing, we would have liked a minibar or small fridge and facilities for making tea. I only saw the host at breakfast.
