Hotel Giulietta

The huge bed was unlike any I'd found in a hotel before, and the room itself was nice. Breakfast choices were limited, though it felt like enough since we usually had bigger lunches and dinners while out in the city. We stayed three days and found the bus an easy way to get around, as the hotel is a little outside town. Next time I might choose somewhere closer to the centre, but I'd happily stay here again.

A quiet place with clean rooms, welcoming staff, quick service, and a fresh breakfast. The receptionist was lovely, professional, and very cooperative. It's easy to get to, with several roads and a bus stop nearby, plus a church and a view of the main road from the open window. Thanks, I'd recommend it.

For €120 a night, I expected more. We paid €30 for transportation over 35 hours because getting to and from the centre was quite difficult, even though the hotel isn't especially far away. We booked a superior room but were given one on the ground floor, facing a busy road, so opening the window didn't feel safe. The room had neither an iron nor a coffee machine, not even instant coffee. I think this was worth closer to €60. We won't return. I'd spend a bit more for a room in the centre instead of losing time and money on buses, scooters, or taxis.

I chose this hotel because it sits well away from the tourist crowds, which made for a pleasant stay, and the staff were friendly. The room looked modern and, to me, seemed to have been renovated fairly recently. But sound carried badly. The toilet seat's natural yellow colour needs replacing, as does the dirty shower head. Worst of all was checkout at 10:30.
