Le Suite Di Giulietta

We stayed in the "Suite Deluxe," and it delivered. The room was spacious, with a view straight over the famous balcony, and having a bath beside the bed was a treat. Even better, they brought breakfast to the room. The croissants came from the famous Flego patisserie, the best one in Verona. The service was top notch, everyone was so nice and helpful. Special thanks to Kristina, who went well beyond her duties to help when I left something behind in the room. Thank you! It was a dream stay. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

We met Kristina at breakfast the next morning. She was accommodating with our requests and answered all our questions. At check-in, we were welcomed with real warmth and charm and got plenty of useful local advice. The place was easy to find and well situated, and we loved our stay.

The place you want for access to Juliet’s balcony is Balcone di Giulietta. This hotel is around the corner, despite the nearly identical name and the confusion that caused. With a non-refundable booking, that feels close to fraudulent. The name Hotel SCAMozzi might fit better.

The rooms are pretty basic, and ours was worn, got hot, and could be noisy. Shower gel was missing, though they brought some when we asked. We were told about nearby restaurants on arrival. For a quieter stay, ask for a room inside the patio, since the alley-facing windows look onto cafes and restaurants. Larger rooms may be more comfortable. The location is excellent for exploring Verona, with cafes and restaurants right outside. We enjoyed wine on the terrace and private views of Julia’s balcony. Breakfast came through a cafe voucher arrangement, and a self-service fridge with drinks would have been a nice addition. Public parking is a 7-10 minute walk away.
