The owner was kind and helpful, and the atmosphere felt warm. The location near the stadium wasn’t ideal, though you can get to the city center quickly by car or public transport. We stayed two nights, paying €70 a night, which felt a bit expensive. The place felt like a B&B, though it apparently isn’t. The room was dirty, and we could hear the neighbors using the washing machine and bathtub at night, so there was no soundproofing. There were still hairs on the bathroom toilet, and in 2023, having no bidet seemed hard to accept. The closet was hideous, like something bought at a hardware store.

I was glad we only had to stay one night. The sheets and towels looked dirty, with nasty stains I wouldn’t want to see where I sleep. The shower stool was dirty too, and there were a few hairs on the shower head. The bidet shower was so clogged with limescale that it couldn’t be used. It was meant to be a B&B, but there was no breakfast because of Covid. The shower itself was spacious and comfortable, and the bed and pillows were comfortable too. Apart from those things, the place felt well furnished with a few bits of salvaged furniture.
