Posada Verona Hostel

We had a great time overall: the guests were really friendly, and the bed and bathroom were clean and very comfortable. But when my friend and I returned to get our bags on the last day, we were 15 minutes late because it was a national holiday and there were no trains. Our bags had been left open outside the hostel, with all our things, including money, on show. We paid €5 for being late, then went to the bathroom to check if we'd left anything behind. The host acted offended and was mean to us. I wouldn't leave luggage there on your last day.

The room was clean and good value. There are 6-bed and 8-bed rooms, plus a private room for two. The common area has a nice place to eat, and the kitchen has pretty much everything you might need. Pasta, water, bread, tea, coffee and breakfast biscuits were usually available too. It's about a 3-5 minute walk from the station and around 20 minutes to the town centre. For laundry, there's a self-service laundromat 15-20 minutes away on foot, with a Lidl about five minutes from there for grocery shopping while you wash. There's also a small grocery store about 0.32 km from the hostel, with a cafe right beside it.

Posada Hostel is a handy base, close to the station and with a nice walk into the city centre. You can get everywhere on foot without much trouble. The rooms and shared spaces were spotless and nicely furnished. I loved it, highly recommend.

Just to be clear, it's a hostel, not a hotel. It's cosy and peaceful, near the city centre, with a kitchen for cooking and storing food, and clean, nice showers. There was even a TV. I'm not sure whether it had air conditioning.
