My friends were left scrambling for somewhere to stay after their flight was delayed. They had booked four nights in Verona through Booking.com and had told the owner well ahead of time that they'd reach the property at 7.30pm, half an hour after the 7.00pm check-in closed. The owner still wouldn't make an exception. They even sent a selfie in front of the building as they left at 7.00pm. My friends emailed to say they would check in the next day instead, but got no reply. When they went to the property the following day, no one was there. The owners had marked the reservation as a "no-show" on Booking.com, despite knowing my friends planned to arrive then. They were forced to find other accommodation urgently, and the owners refused to refund them. Appalling and unprofessional. They blatantly robbed my friends. Avoid at all costs.

The guests followed up by email to say they'd arrive the next day to check in, but nobody acknowledged the message. When they got there, no one answered their calls or messages, and they had to make last-minute arrangements elsewhere. They refused to refund them. They robbed our family members and friends. Extremely unprofessional, any other place would be a better choice.

Please don't book here. The owners are rude, and if you arrive late for check-in before 7 pm, you can lose the full reservation payment without even being able to talk to them. The booking may then be cancelled without a refund, and you won't be able to check in the next day either. I was shocked that this kind of consumer deception is legally allowed in a European country. In our country, people can be imprisoned or fined for it. These people are scammers.
