Residenza Carducci

Giovanna and Michael were the warmest part of our stay. They made us feel like family. The B&B is in the historic downtown and has a lot of space. Our suite was comfortable enough that I slept like a rock every night, and the bathroom, bedroom, and kitchenette were all impeccably clean.

A roomy place in a really handy location.

The location was great, and I'd be glad to come back. The building is old, with spacious, comfortable rooms full of genuine antiques. Giovanna was lovely to talk with, and she apparently has several degrees from different universities. Maybe she's a bit of a degree enthusiast? Her clever dog kept us company over a wonderful breakfast. The owner, as far as I recall, was British, and seemed gentle and intelligent. I was impressed hearing about how she had traveled back a long way by train. Finding the place by car was difficult, though, and from outside it wasn't clear that it was a B&B. They pointed me to a nearby secure indoor parking lot. I also enjoyed getting wine and snacks from a nearby supermarket or bar and having them in my room.

I spent just one night here, with a spacious two-room apartment all to myself. The kitchen had everything I needed, and tea and herbal teas were provided. It's an easy walk to the historic center. Parking right nearby could be tricky.
