Handy spot, close to the Arena!
The location is excellent, but the apartment was badly maintained. It smelled of cigarettes, and there was a wide gap in the entrance door that I had to block with paper. One window had a loose hinge, and the bathroom tap was loose too. Water leaked from all around the shower. The old bed creaked a lot, and one of the glass doors had no curtain. I wouldn’t recommend it.
It’s a beautiful historic building in an excellent location. This isn’t a modern condominium, and everything may not be perfect. The building is likely protected by the superintendence, so the owners may have to go through the ministry for maintenance work. Please bear that, and the cost of maintaining an old historic property, in mind when leaving a comment.
The location is hard to fault, just a few steps from Piazza Bra. Our small apartment was in an old building, so some limitations were understandable. The place felt almost abandoned, though. The bathroom was the main problem: the toilet was awful, and the sink tap was nearly blocked. The sink itself was detached and set on a shelf so long that washing my face was awkward. After a day out, a working shower really matters, but water sprayed everywhere except through the showerhead. A replacement costs about 10 euros, so this needs attention. There’s also a little terrace off the bedroom that seems to have been neglected for years. It’s better not to go out there. We did because we smoke and didn’t want to light cigarettes inside out of respect.
