The place is brand new, tastefully and simply decorated, and in a great spot for seeing the city. After a long life of traveling all over, I can say Vicolo di Verona gave me the best service I’ve come across. Matthia was a perfect host, even driving us to our car, carrying our bags, and sharing tips for visiting the city. Highly recommend!

The host was quick to answer and always ready with a hand or a useful suggestion. Nearby neighborhood restaurants are an easy walk away, and the location keeps you close to the sights of old Verona while still giving you quiet and a bit of solitude. Both the room and shared space have been tastefully updated in a modern style without losing their historic feel. The other guests who rave about this residence and its host are right, it was one of the best stays we’ve had. The host and his residence do Verona proud.

Mathia takes such good care of his guests, a real gentleman. I’ve stayed at Il Vicolo more than once, and among the hundreds of Airbnbs and hotels I’ve tried, it’s easily my favorite. Verona is a spectacular city too. I highly recommend staying here!

Il Vicolo is in a peaceful part of Verona, yet just a short walk from the center. There’s plenty nearby, including a good supermarket and fruit and vegetable shop about five minutes away, plus little stores, pasta makers, a lovely cheese shop, bars, and local restaurants. We spent four days there during February half term and really liked how the first-floor apartment blends old and new. The kitchen is stylish and well equipped, and Mathia’s team came in each day to clean and make the beds. Mathia was helpful with everything. I accidentally left my necklace behind, and he mailed it back at his own expense. That’s great service. We thoroughly recommend Il Vicolo.
