The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, among the largest hotel rooms we've stayed in. There wasn't much of a view, but the private garden made up for that. It was great for relaxing and smoking, and had a table, chairs, and a cute ashtray we appreciated. Right in the center of Verona, the location made it easy to get everywhere. There's no staff on site, but a friendly WhatsApp contact replied instantly and helped with anything we needed. Check-in was simple: we got a gate code, scanned our ID to open a locker, and picked up the key card. Everything worked smoothly. It's more like private rooms than a traditional hotel, but access was easy. We paid €140 for two nights. There was no breakfast or extra facilities, but it felt like great value, especially compared with tiny city hotel rooms costing over €200. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a large comfortable shower and enough towels. We'd recommend it for a visit to Verona if you want room to spread out, privacy, and a central spot at a good price.

The beds were great, and the rooms were good. The location is excellent too. But check-in was a mess: management kept messaging my fiancé about tasks we’d already completed, including the tourist tax, which we had paid at the machine during check-in. They didn’t even seem to know we’d checked in. If guests are checking themselves in on a machine, the process needs to be better organized. There was no kettle for hot water or any drinking cups either. Adding those and sorting out check-in would bring my rating up to 3; a mini fridge would make it 4.

The room smelled musty, and there was visible mold in the shower. Getting there was stressful too: after our flight delay we arrived late, the check-in area didn’t feel safe, and the dark building was hard to navigate. The lights only stayed on briefly, and we couldn’t find our room. I tried reaching the host by WhatsApp and text, but got no response on either. The old room door only locks by turning the key from inside, with no extra bolt or chain, so if one guest takes the key out, the other can’t secure the door. That felt very unsafe. This was a lockbox tourist trap nightmare. I wouldn’t stay here, and in my opinion the positive reviews should be treated as illegitimate.

Ai Conti was a great experience for us. The manager gave us clear directions for getting the key and checking in, and communication was excellent. Our room was spotless and looked just like the photos. It’s right in the tourist center, which is a perfect location. For the price, the quality was really good. I honestly don’t understand the complaints.

We chose this room because it’s only 2-3 min from the arena. The room was clean, access was well controlled and the AC worked perfectly. The price felt fair for what we got, as long as you remember this isn’t a hotel and doesn’t pretend to be one. Check-in was okay, though we had trouble with the terminal at first. The owner was reachable on WhatsApp and helped us sort it out, and the video tutorials they sent were useful too. Keep in mind you need a credit card to pay the tourist tax. We helped an older couple who didn’t have one. It’s in the historic center, so arriving by car means planning your luggage and parking. The advance information was good, and we had no trouble. We skipped the recommended parking because of our car’s size and used Parcheggio Interrato Cittadella Apcoa instead, for 20€/day. The entrance is tight for an Audi A6, but the parking was good and felt safe.
