Maison Lombard

We were treated like family all weekend, with the mountains right there in the view. The owners were so warm and welcoming, and they really looked after us. Breakfast was great too. We recommend it to everyone! Marisa, Edoardo, Federica, and Angelo

After a week at Maison Lombard, I came away completely won over by how Irma and Luciano run the place. They welcomed us so warmly that we felt comfortable straight away. I can see this is something they care about, not just a business: the prices are very competitive, and what you get is above average. The breakfasts, or “Buongiorno,” were generous and made with local products. Cleanliness was outstanding, and the recently renovated rooms felt brand new. The village itself made us city dwellers feel like we were far away from everything, while the location gave us a lovely view of Mount Emilio. We were there over Ferragosto. At first, we wondered if it was too out of the way compared with the usual places in the Aosta Valley, which we were visiting for the first time. But sometimes you travel all over and miss the places everyone else goes. We definitely felt we got our money’s worth. This may sound overly enthusiastic, but I wouldn’t have written a review if I hadn’t been so happy with our stay.

The hosts were so warm and kind, and the terrace has a beautiful view over the landscape. It’s a great base for seeing this wonderful region. I’m almost reluctant to say how much I liked it, in case there’s no room for me next time!

Mrs. Irma and her family run a clean, well-kept place with a friendly, welcoming feel. Breakfast was both plentiful and excellent.
