This is a lovely way to experience a small Italian village on the mountainside. The hotel is lovely too, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Just be warned, the drive up is almost enough to make you need beta blockers. The roads are incredibly narrow and winding, charming but terrifying.

The comfortable bed and good buffet breakfast were a plus, with a good mix of savory and sweet options. The rooms were clean, the hotel has good facilities at an affordable price, and the old town has its own charm. The receptionists spoke English and welcomed us warmly, and the staff were nice and helpful. But when we arrived around 6pm, the spa and wellness centre was already closed, and it wasn't open the next day either. Apparently, we needed to book ahead, so we couldn't enjoy it. It was also hard to find somewhere to eat nearby. All the restaurants in the area were closed, and we had to drive around to several before finding one that was open. The pillows were hard. If you're on a low budget and like an adventure, I'd recommend it. It felt worth every dollar spent!
