The rooms were spacious and the price was reasonable. WiFi never worked during my stay. It's a little outside town, but manageable if you're driving. There isn't breakfast on offer, though you can arrange a breakfast basket by getting in touch beforehand. Fine for a stopover.

I'm glad we booked ahead because the restaurant filled up fast. We had a wonderful lunch, with fresh, well-made food all around. My friend really enjoyed her squid ink pasta. Service could use a little improvement: we tried to get a better wine, but ended up with the table wine, or house wine. There was nothing wrong with it, though a wine list and a few recommendations would have helped.

Everything I ate was really good, and the portions felt just right. I kept asking for suggestions, and she pointed me to their best dishes. The service was amazing, and the other staff were attentive and around when needed. I'll definitely come back.

The pear pasta was the standout for me, absolutely divine and unlike anything I'd tasted before. They were little purses filled with a pear mixture, with cream sauce and shredded ham on top. We also ordered steak, pork chop, and gnocchi. The big floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the rustic fields, which made for such a lovely meal.

The food was delicious once it finally arrived, but lunch took forever. We ordered within the first 20 minutes after sitting down, and dishes only started coming out around 1430. Five people had to leave because other plans couldn't wait. Even though two large groups had reservations, the door didn't open until 1215. If you need to be somewhere in the afternoon, this isn't the place.
