B&B La Grotta Marina

The breakfast was pretty basic, just packaged biscuits and jam, but the rest of our stay was very pleasant. The B&B has what you need, including a shared kitchen, a separate bathroom, and quiet, effective air conditioning. The owner kept in touch before, during, and after our visit. It’s on a cozy little street, with a typical Italian bar on the corner. Steps at the start of the street lead down to the local harbor at Seiano, about a ten-minute walk, where there are a few bars and beaches. There isn’t much to see there. Vico Equense is a 20-25 minute walk away.

We had to change our dates after our flight connections were delayed, and Patrizia was very accommodating about rescheduling. Staying at La Grotta Marina gave us a nice local experience, with restaurants and bars nearby where you can eat and drink like locals. For dinner, Il Retrovo Delhi Amici was a five-star experience, and La Cascina is a good spot for a local breakfast. Patrizia was extremely kind.

The area has plenty close by, including a bar, pizzerias, a minimarket, and a butcher just across the road. The sea is a ten-minute walk down some steps. I’d suggest taking the nearby train to Sorrento, though. My friend and I spent three days at this clean, well-organized property near the Vesuvian road in Seiano. Pierluigi handled our check-in and was very kind and helpful. We’ll come back.
