Cala Incantata

We were six and had a genuinely magical stay, from the moment we arrived until we left. Alfonso checked that everything suited us when we got to the villa, followed up after our first night, and helped us find our way home when it was time to go. He made sure we had the information we needed for sightseeing around the Sorrentine peninsula, and was easy to reach when we asked about rainy-day plans during one drizzly afternoon. He was gracious throughout. The villa sits on a hillside with a sweeping view of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. We watched fireworks from the spacious deck, which was also a nice place to rest between outings and after dinner. Vico Equense train station is just steps away, making trips to Vesuvius and Sorrento easy. Grocery shops, restaurants, wine merchants, convenience stores, and more are all an easy walk. Both apartment kitchens had staples and a few extras, so making the occasional breakfast or dinner at home was simple. I can't think of any real downsides. If I had to mention something, laundry needs a sunny day to dry, and that's outside the host's control.
