The garden was a pleasant place to spend time, and our room was huge, fresh, comfortable, and clean, though the decor isn’t modern. Breakfast was a good continental spread, with fresh croissants, fruit, juice, yogurt, and savory bites. Ciro is a wonderful owner, kind and helpful, and a great chatterbox who was genuinely interested in getting to know us. The staff were always kind too, including the blonde girl whose name I can’t remember. If you want to feel at home, pampered, and safe, this is the place. We’d happily come back. Thank you all :)

The road to the small car park has a very narrow stretch. They warned us about it by phone, and our Golf Plus could get through with the mirrors folded, but take care. You can also leave the car in the large covered, monitored car park at the pizzeria below for around €7 a day. We booked the bed and breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the place, the welcoming managers who were always available with information, and the atmosphere in Vico Equense. The buffet breakfast was generous, with bar service for coffee and cappuccino. It was definitely better than expected.

The B&B is in a lovely spot, around 300 meters from the center, and Vico Equense is easy to explore on foot. The people running it were very helpful, and there’s room for improvement. We stayed two nights. The large, beautiful room had a comfortable, spacious, clean bathroom, but the double bed had two very hard, springy single mattresses, the old-fashioned kind with little plastic pieces over them. They were painfully uncomfortable. A high window on the balcony didn’t close properly, so mopeds passing at night kept waking me. Breakfast was good and plentiful, but flies could get to it. You eat on a nice terrace shaded by trees, though smokers are allowed to smoke while you eat, so if you don’t smoke you have to tolerate it or leave. Parking is limited to a spot in front of the door that barely fits two small cars. The road is very narrow, and we had to fold in the mirrors on our Clio. The owner had warned us against bringing a large car. Those narrow streets are typical of the peninsula, though.
