Hotel Sporting

If four stars means burnt, over-salted canelloni, coffee that's barely drinkable, and half-star toilet paper, then I suppose this place qualifies. It doesn't come close to four stars for me. 👎👎👎👎👎

The location was just right and the view was beautiful. We loved staying here, and the staff were incredible. Thank you!

Breakfast was in a restaurant that quickly became one of our favorites, with a great atmosphere and lots of good choices. We also had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, where the food was delicious, the view was lovely, and they added complimentary bites and a personal touch. Prices were high, but they put real effort into the experience. The service was top-notch, and the hotel itself has a wonderful view. Our one frustration was the parking. At check-in we were told the hotel's own parking wasn't available, but a partner lot was about a minute's drive away. They gave us a little paper ticket for it, and we assumed it would be free or cost very little. When we got back the next day, we learned a night cost €20. Of all the places we stayed, in Meta, Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and Naples, that was the most expensive. If you're comfortable parking on the street, which felt fairly safe, that might be cheaper; otherwise, look for other terms. Be aware it's €20 per night, so three nights adds up to €60 if you don't ask the price first.

At the beach, they insisted that we had to pay €20 per person for a chair, even though we only wanted to swim and kept telling the man we didn't want one. They wouldn't listen, and I felt the charge was completely unfair. I don't recommend it.
