Elegance

Lucia welcomed us, and she was very kind, helpful, and competent. My wife and I stayed for the weekend, and the apartment matched its description. It was clean and had all the comforts we needed. The location is strategic, just a few steps from both Termini station and the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and the value for money was good. The only downside is the building is a bit old and needs renovation. There is an elevator, though it's narrow. Overall, highly recommended!

We booked three months ahead but couldn't stay because our reservation was cancelled just half an hour before we arrived. It caused us a lot of trouble, and management never answered when we tried to contact them. With so many tourists in town for the Maneskin concert that day, I suspect they rented our room to someone else for more money. Terrible!!!

The way the woman on the phone treated us was unacceptable. She told us the hotel was closed, said it wasn't her problem, and hung up. On our next three calls, she hung up again before we could even speak. They didn't offer a solution or help us find somewhere to stay. If they couldn't come open the hotel, as many places charge for after-hours arrivals, they could at least have helped us work something out. Leaving us without a hotel in Rome says a lot about this business. Our flight was delayed, so we reached Rome airport at 8:00 PM. Check-in ended at 9:00 PM, and we messaged them in Booking.com's chat at 8:40 PM to say we'd be a little late, but heard nothing. We were at the hotel entrance by 9:15 PM and nobody answered. I can't comment on what the hotel itself is like, and I can accept that they may be right about the 9:00 PM check-in rule. If I could, I'd give it zero. We contacted Booking.com and cancelled the rest of our reservation. Maybe they thought they could charge more, but they weren't going to keep our money.

I booked this B&B through Booking.com two months ahead. An hour before I arrived in Rome, they cancelled the reservation. I tried calling and ringing the intercom at the building's gate, but got no answer. It was the middle of tourist season, and I ended up without a place to stay, changing hotels every night and paying a lot extra. I've never had an experience like it. DO NOT BOOK.
