Nonno Luigino

The main drawback was getting there by bus. We hadn’t been warned about the narrow roads and sharp turns, which made the trip uncomfortable for everyone, especially our driver. By car it should be perfectly fine. We came as a group and didn’t stay in the rooms, but the owner showed them to us and they looked amazing, definitely worth coming back for. The view is lovely, the food was really good, and the staff were incredibly polite and kind. The owner was warm and wonderful to talk with. Definitely worth a visit.

On a Friday evening, halfway down the mountain while looking for somewhere to eat, we stumbled upon this inviting Agriturismo and had a great night. Finding a parking spot was a big plus on that narrow, winding road. Inside, the dining room was bright and spacious, the staff were friendly and funny, and the food was delicious.

Dinner beneath the lemon trees was such a memorable night. Yolanda and the other waitress kept things fun with plenty of laughs while still giving professional, warm service. The food was exquisite, and the special touches made Nonno Luigino stand out as a real Sorrento dining experience. You must have a meal here.

We were really upset by the conditions the animals were kept in, and that seriously affected our stay. Everything appeared caged with very little room to move. The chickens were crowded and didn’t seem to have outdoor access, and the goats appeared to be kept the same way. The pigs were on bare concrete without bedding and looked unhappy. One sow seemed heavily pregnant and was kept in those same conditions. Maybe this level of husbandry is acceptable in Italy, but my husband and I are veterinary surgeons particularly interested in animal welfare, and we found it distressing. We’d have rated the stay 5 stars if the animals had seemed happier, but gave it 3 and wouldn’t return. There were also kennels nearby, and the dogs barked all night, which disturbed our sleep, though that wasn’t Nonno Luigino’s fault. The setting was beautiful, the rooms comfortable and spacious, the food good, and the staff friendly and accommodating.
