We had no complaints about our stay and would definitely recommend it. The main apartment has a bedroom, a second room with bunk beds, two bathrooms, one with a shower, and a kitchen area. The facilities were all good. There’s also a lovely terrace for meals or a glass of wine, with an incredible view over the bay of Naples, Vesuvio in the distance, beautiful sunsets, and the sounds of nightlife drifting up from town. Getting back up from the town centre or Vico Equense train station is a bit of a trek, so a taxi or bus is a good idea. Search for Google Vico_Circolare Sinistra for the timetable and get off at Via R.Bosco Pietrapiana. The bus doesn’t run often and can get crowded, but it’s better than hauling suitcases uphill. Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, sweet treats, meats, cheese, and cereal. We also ordered food in the evening from Pizza a metro, which has amazing pizza by the meter and a good range of other dishes. You can hear them ring the main door intercom from the terrace. Deco supermarket is an easy walk away for anything extra, including water to chill in the fridge.

Last year I booked a room for five and was asked to pay a deposit. I did, mistakenly trusting all the positive reviews. We had to move the trip because of an unexpected illness, three months ahead of time, and “Angelo” said that wouldn’t be a problem. Now the hotel blocks my calls and hasn’t replied to my emails, texts, or any other attempts to reach them. It’s shameful to lose a three-day booking over a 300 (cdn) deposit. Lesson learned. I guess I’ll pay them a visit. Vergoniate.
