Hotel Cristalda

We stayed at Hotel Cristalda with a group from Ireland and had a very pleasant time. It's clean and well cared for, around a 2-minute walk from a lovely sandy beach and about 15 minutes on foot from the town center. Breakfast stood out for its variety, more than we've found at many other hotels. Dinner was well organized too: the waiter visited each table for orders, with two choices of "primi" and "secondi," plus salad and dessert. We were very satisfied and would recommend Hotel Cristalda to visitors to Vieste.

The staff were welcoming, helpful, and very service minded, and I had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Cristalda for a week at the beginning of June. The room was spacious, nice, and clean. The sea is only two minutes away, and the center is an easy walk. I highly recommend the hotel.

At first everything seemed fine, but looking closer, the meal felt like a rip-off. The dining room had plastic flowers, and one waiter was very unfriendly. The melon and Serano ham starter came with dried-out ham and bread. The pasta was okay, though there was hardly any squid in it. The steak was awful, cooked right through and so dry and hard I couldn't eat it. The fish was dry and not tasty either, and seemed as if it had been waiting days to be thrown away. Dessert was probably a ready-made tiramisu, nothing special, though hard to get wrong. The water was good, at least, haha. Embarrassing.

A lovely spot for a holiday, in a beautiful part of Vieste near both the beach and old town. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, the staff were helpful and very nice, and breakfast was delicious.
