I Delfini di Pugnochiuso

We went at the end of September and had a totally relaxing holiday. The location is fantastic, and early in the morning you might even see deer. Too bad the building is dated, and the apartments could use an update and a thorough clean.

There must be a reason I’ve been returning for 40 years. The mountains are behind you and the sea is in front, and deer come down to drink from the pool in the evening. Crickets doze in the shade of the trees or on the tidy lawns. The villas have every comfort, and the protected setting means you can almost forget you have a child. Everyone knows each other.

Some of the staff were nice, and the place itself is pleasant, but the room had just two working outlets, one in the bathroom and one at the back of the bedroom. Half the floor was broken, and there were shoe marks on the walls. There was no Wi-Fi, and mobile data barely worked in the house. On arrival, you have to count the items in the room, and it takes an hour.

A huge plus for me was the free pool, since health problems make it hard for me to walk down all the stairs to the sea. There’s also a big green area for sunbathing or just playing. They provide canoes and life jackets for exploring the little caves near the sea. The setting is magnificent and so relaxing. Everything is beautiful. We had a wonderful vacation, highly recommended!
