A lovely spot for a family stay.

We were five, and this place was a huge letdown. The property is old and needs a lot of work, and I can't see why it gets good reviews. The mattresses and pillows were barely comfortable, and €1,800 for a week felt like paying just for four walls and a roof, since nearly everything else cost extra. The evening noise was another problem. A village about 100 meters away has music and baby dances until well past midnight. They have every right to enjoy themselves, but we had to put up with the noise without being able to enjoy the entertainment. The pool also closes at lunchtime, and swimming caps are required. The advertised gym was really a dirty room, apparently not cleaned for months, with two rusty machines that didn't work. The tennis court and soccer pitch are actually the same field, so with so many people around it was never possible to play. The foosball tables were rusty too. On arrival, the apartment had no toilet paper, dish soap, proper dishcloth, or moka pot. I've never been without toilet paper on my travels, and they could at least have left a roll that costs 50 cents. There were bidet fittings in the bathroom but no bidet, though I don't know if that was just our apartment. Sheets cost €40, towels another €40, and air conditioning was extra. The sheets we requested were folded off to the side instead of being put on the beds, so we had to make them ourselves. The reception staff were very kind, but that wasn't enough to make up for all this. The place has potential, and it's a shame it needs so much improvement. I don't recommend it.

We spent a peaceful week among the olive trees, staying in a clean, comfortable apartment and enjoying the tidy pool. The village is well cared for and has a lovely family feel. Elena was so kind, Gennaro got things done efficiently, and Elena's father was friendly and shared some of Gargano's history with us. The location worked really well for us, between Peschici and Vieste and close to the Umbra Forest. We took a day trip through the forest and saw the Daunia Mountains too. San Giovanni Rotondo and Monte Sant'Angelo are also nearby. We recommend it and will definitely return.

We were so glad we tried this residence, since we'd never been before. We stayed from August 24th to 31st, and the pool was a real highlight, it's big and lovely. There's also a little playground for kids and a barbecue area with benches and places to sit. It all feels well organized. The sea is less than two kilometers away, and there's a free shuttle if you'd rather leave the car behind. If things work out, we'd be happy to come back next year! 😉☺️
