Villaggio La Giara

The dining at La Giara was a highlight, with fresh, delicious local and international dishes served in a lovely setting. I also appreciated how close it was to nearby attractions, making it easy to explore and then come back to a quiet retreat. The village is in a picturesque setting that feels peaceful and far from everyday bustle. Our accommodation was clean, spacious, well maintained, and had the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. There was plenty to do, from poolside relaxing and hikes on the scenic trails to organized events. Staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to help with requests. La Giara exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return. It seems like a memorable, relaxing choice for families, couples, or solo travelers.

The Sunday pool party was my favorite part, and there were activities every day and night. We were also just steps from the beach, with a large pool, kind and friendly service, and really good food and drinks. The pizza was soooo good. Some villas and the lookout have amazing ocean views. You can see the place is being remodeled, and for us it was a great value and a lovely stay at La Giara.

We loved the sea and the beach here. The water was crystal clear, and the bay has a big sandy beach, with both paid and free sections between two rocky shores. There were loads of fish and octopuses, so it seemed like a paradise for fishing. The camp sits in a pine forest by the sea, with the beach about a 100-meter walk away. There are two working pools, one for children and one for adults, and Vieste, with supermarkets, is 2.5 km away. A greengrocer comes by every morning with vegetables, fruit, and wine. We booked two mobile homes, one with a sea view. The welcoming hosts put them side by side on the front row, and you could even see the sea from the toilet window. They’re compact, but well thought out and stocked with enough dishes, hot water, toilet paper, fresh towels, and a working air conditioner. There’s also a large terrace shaded by pine trees. The administration gave us free coupons for sun loungers, which hadn’t been included in our booking, and took care of all our requests. They’re very accepting of animals, and it’s clear they keep investing in improvements. Big thanks to the animation team: Luciano, Christian, Benny, Cristina, Viola, and Annarita. They kept people busy all day with singing, dancing, and fun competitions, and even played with the kids in their own free time. You’re the best!
