The house is in very comfortable surroundings, and we liked the room and the breakfast. Vieste is only about 15 minutes away by car.

The people are what make this farmhouse special. The owner and waitress were cheerful and genuinely helpful. I also found it very clean, with a perfect location in the countryside, only a 10-minute drive from Vieste. Be sure to try all the owner’s homemade breakfast desserts, they’re exceptional!

The quiet natural setting was exactly the kind of relaxation we wanted: Mediterranean scrub, birdsong, olive trees, and unspoiled surroundings in the heart of Gargano National Park. We visited Atlhos over Easter and Easter Monday 2017, and Lucia welcomed my boyfriend and me with great kindness. There’s a well-kept garden, solarium, reading corner with lots of books, and plenty of free parking. The rooms had every comfort, including TV, private bathroom, hair dryer, mini-bar, and air conditioning, and the cleanliness was impeccable, the first thing I notice!!!! The sheets smelled lovely, and breakfast was international. The breathtaking view and the price, a real bargain compared with the average in Vieste, made it even better. I’ll be back!!

It’s an Agriturismo, but the kitchen wasn’t available yet. They said it would be ready in 2021. You could buy oil and honey made on the property, though. I’ve booked another stay for July next year, this time much longer. Atlhos is a lovely country villa for a quiet getaway as a couple or family, with fresh air, lots of green space for walking your dog, and the sea just a few kilometers away. The owner is a lovely, very kind lady with a laugh that draws you in. Fantastic!!!
