We visited at the beginning of June as three families with kids. The big yard and playground were great for them, and there’s a tasty family restaurant about 100 meters away. The pool is nice and does the job, with depths from around 0.5 to 2.5 meters. Our host was friendly and helpful. It’s relatively cheap, and worked fine for sleeping, bathing, and doing a bit of cooking. Just don’t expect towel swans every evening. The closest beach is good for kitesurfers and surfers, but can be boring if you just want to lie on the sand. The sandy beach nearby is mostly taken up by a campsite, which has the only public toilet there, for residents. We ended up driving to some nicer beaches near Vieste. There’s nowhere to go for an evening walk, which was our biggest issue. You have to take the car to Vieste, and it’s a way from the residence. There were daily problems with the hot water. The bathroom was the worst I’ve come across, though not really bad, and it was clean. There isn’t even a cabinet, and showering gets everything wet. Wardrobes are scarce, so we stayed unpacked with three suitcases open as our storage. There’s no Wi-Fi or air conditioning. At least the ground-floor rooms didn’t really need air conditioning, but Vodafone roaming signal was weak, and the data connection wasn’t good.

It’s a good place to enjoy yourself.
Nice and cool.
The owners were very kind, and the price is excellent, but whether it’s worth it depends on what you’re willing to put up with. I spent six days here on vacation, and the property has a lot of potential: it’s beautiful, has a pool, and sits in the countryside about a 10-minute walk from the sea. Unfortunately, it’s run down. The walls need repainting, the bathroom needs an update, and something leaks from the toilet or bidet every few days. The doors are faded and stained. I reported each problem to the owners and they tried to fix things, but often it wasn’t enough.
We left an hour after arriving, even though it meant losing our deposit. The owners were kind, but there wasn’t much else worth keeping. The building is old and poorly looked after, and the rooms feel like they’re from the 1970s, with outdated furnishings that don’t work properly. The bathrooms are another story. I’m not just talking about having toilet paper, they could at least have put in a shower head. All of that and more made us leave. It’s a shame, because the place has so much potential. Absolutely avoid.
