Residence La Conchiglia

Relaxing and nice.

The location is excellent, right by the sea and 2 km from the center of Vieste. There’s private parking, it’s quiet, and the free beach is maybe less than 100 meters away. I booked an apartment for four through booking, and everything was as described. The service matched the listing, too, but there are a few things that could be better. The apartment’s furnishings look at least 20 years old and need updating for the price paid. The mattresses were a real nightmare, and the kitchen light in our apartment was very dim. These aren’t really minor details. Everything else was fine and in line with the booking. It wouldn’t take much to give the property a different look.

The shared areas and greenery are beautifully maintained, and the property is practically across the street from the beach. There’s an arrangement with a lido 200 meters away, where you can rent an umbrella and loungers at a fair price. This was my first stay, and I had a positive experience. The apartments’ interiors could use the same care as the outside. The kitchen cabinets show their age, and a little effort could improve things, perhaps the apartments are just older. Even so, I found the place well matched to its price. Recommended.

I stayed at the La Conchiglia residence with my family last year and was very satisfied. It’s welcoming, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing break. The best part for me was the greenery. The trees, paths, and flowerbeds are carefully looked after, and all the plants give plenty of shade during the hottest hours. The villas are also well maintained and have everything you need. The location is right on the seafront, and the residence is small, quiet, and free from constant traffic. Its little paths are for walking only, with cars kept in the parking lot at the entrance. The gates are locked at night for extra security and open with a simple code. There’s no beach club of its own, so you need to arrange umbrella service with a local one. You also can’t drive up to your villa, which can make carrying luggage and groceries a hassle. There’s no entertainment, which might suit some people and not others. I’d recommend it.
