Residenza Collina dei Pini

Getting here was a tortuous trip, but the gardens made it worthwhile. Balconies on two levels and three sides had commanding sea views, and the bedroom was lovely. There was also a very nice patio with sofas and a barbecue. Breakfast was excellent, though it costs extra. The hostess was welcoming and speaks some English.

The location alone made this a memorable stay, with the hotel perched above Vieste and sweeping views of the blue sea and green countryside. It was also an easy base for the old town and nearby beaches. Hotel Collina Dei Pini has a local, family-run feel, and Libera welcomed me so warmly that I felt like part of the family. I loved the little details throughout, from the comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms to the inviting shared spaces. Libera’s morning espressos were a daily highlight, rich and smooth, and some of the best I’ve had. She clearly cares about making each guest’s stay special. A peaceful retreat with a lot of local character, and I’d gladly stay again in Vieste.

We loved being tucked into the hills while still so close to town. The family atmosphere was warm, and Libera looked after us so well, treating us like family. It was a perfect first visit to Italy. Thank you, Libera, Mauricio, and Nonno. We’d come back every year if we could.

An unusual place with a sea view and very good value for the quality. Libera, the owner, was kind and worked to meet all our needs. They also gave us a nice upgrade to an apartment with a kitchen. Fully recommend it.
