Scialì Hotel

The hotel has modern, comfortable rooms and a lovely large garden, and we spent two wonderful weeks there. Breakfast was varied and really tasty, and the service was friendly and professional. The beach is about 400 meters away, an easy walk of just a few minutes. Vieste center is under two kilometers away, and the route there along the charming beach promenade makes the walk a pleasure. The hotel offers transport to the beaches and town center, though we never used it. Guests arriving by car will appreciate the large parking area, with canopies to shade the cars.

The apartment we were given was modern, clean, and in good shape. We paid close to €50 for one night, breakfast included. The hotel is about 300 metres from the beach, set back one row, and parking was free either in front of the apartment or behind the hotel. Breakfast was really tasty, with plenty to choose from, including mozzarella and focaccia, cakes, and the usual scrambled eggs.

The staff were consistently friendly and courteous, and the rooms all have a pleasant terrace and plenty of wardrobe space. We especially liked the bathroom, where the toilet area is separate. Hotel Scialì is new, comfortable, and clean, with spacious gardens and a large shaded parking area. Its position works well for the city, Vieste’s main sandy beach, and the well-known southern bays. Breakfast is generous and continental, with good music in the restaurant, though after a while we wished there were more local choices like homemade jam, cheese, prosciutto, or olives. It would also help to have local brochures, maps, and restaurant lists from the tourist information office around the lobby or reception, along with a mention of the excellent beach restaurant Scialì, where hotel guests get 10% off. We thought the price was very good for what you get.

Vieste is close by and lovely, with shops and good places to eat. I’d suggest Ristaurante Duomo and the Sciali restaurant. We’ve just returned from our holiday at Hotel Sciali, where the staff were so friendly and the hotel was very nice. The beach was excellent, with beds reserved for us throughout the stay.
