The pool is lovely, and being close to the sea is a big plus. But the place feels very old. The showers are so small that you have to leave the door open to shave your legs, and the water is salty, so you don’t feel clean afterward. The rooms are tiny and so hot that sleeping without sweating is impossible. This village isn’t suitable if you’re older or have trouble with your legs. There are stairs everywhere, including a long climb up to the pool, and the car only takes you to the beach. I’d say it’s best for someone young and healthy who doesn’t care too much about where they sleep and mainly wants the sea and a nice pool. Those are the best things here.

The pool is the best feature, very clean and well maintained. The location is also good, just a few steps from the free beach. Villaggio Mascia doesn’t have its own beach, though there’s a clean, fully equipped lido you can pay for separately. The entertainment staff were good guys, and the shuttle worked well. I don’t understand the praise in the other reviews. There were many problems and not many positives. Cleanliness was the first one: the previous family paid €70 for final cleaning, but it seemed to amount to a quick sweep. The windows and mosquito nets were dirty, and there were even bird droppings. The cabins are very small and low, so you can touch the ceiling by raising your arm. The TV is tiny, still uses a decoder, and is only in the kitchen. They say there’s no Wi-Fi or even shade. Air conditioning costs extra, though it wasn’t really needed because it was cool. The tap water was the worst part. It was brackish, and on arrival they said it wasn’t drinkable and pointed us to a separate drinking-water tap. I filled 4 pots with brown water from it, then gave up. I ended up buying bottled water to cook and wash vegetables, and even to brush our teeth because the tap water was so disgusting. We were given the first house, where I could hear village guests coming and going every night. Worse, the garbage truck passed 3 times during the night, waking us with deafening noise. There was practically no rest.

This was my second stay with the Mascia family, and I’d definitely come back again. The owners are welcoming and helpful. The cabins are pleasantly cool among the pine trees, close to the sea and Lido La Malva, the exotic corner of Cala Molinella. The restaurant on site serves pizza and excellent food, and the pool’s panoramic view is top-notch. Greetings to Lucrezia, her father, and the whole family.

We were there the first week of August, and the kids loved it. The little houses have charming outdoor terraces and everything you could need. Set on a hill, the village gives you sea and nature together, and it stays cool, breezy, and peaceful. We’ll definitely be back!

The pool and bar at the top of the hill have a lovely view over the sea. The resort itself is on a hill, with green surroundings and bungalows about a hundred meters from Molinella beach. There’s a shuttle at lunchtime and dinner time. We stayed the first week of September, and the bungalow fell short of what we expected, even though we knew it was a bungalow rather than a room in a 4-star hotel. The furniture was quite worn, especially in the kitchen. It was a two-room apartment with only a small TV in the kitchen and just two electrical outlets. We also found out on arrival that there was no drinking water except from a tap in the kitchen. I’d strongly recommend investing in renovating the bungalows.
