Patrizia looked after us so well, she was lovely and positive. The apartment matched the photos exactly and was very clean. It’s close to the port, where you can catch a ferry to Amalfi or Positano, and there’s a bakery plus plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. I can’t think of anything bad to say. I’d recommend this place to everyone ☺️

Vietri Sul Mare was well worth getting to know. There are lots of artisan ceramics businesses, and the town makes an interesting base for visiting nearby places along the Amalfi Coast. The boat port is 200 m from Palazzo Della Monica, and trains and buses serve the town. Salerno and Amalfi are close, and trains go to Salerno, Naples, Pompeii, and other tourist spots along the coast. Our apartment had plenty of space and panoramic views, with good restaurants nearby. The people were friendly too.

The room was spacious and stayed pleasantly cool day and night, right in central Vietri. The downsides made the price hard to justify, especially since no services like breakfast were included. We had to call twice to ask for more shower samples: just TWO had been left for two people staying two nights. It was June in a seaside area, too. When we arrived, they warned us the shower seal had a problem, but we hadn’t expected every shower to flood the whole bathroom, leaving us to mop up all the water with a towel. There’s no card machine, either. The options were to withdraw cash from a post office ATM 15 minutes away, all uphill, or patiently work something out with the owner. I’d recommend it for the location and if you want a cool room, but not for the rest.

We only spent one night here. The central location in Marina di Vietri is the only thing that really explains the price. The property could use some updating, though Mrs. Patrizia was the one thing that stood out.
