The castle is beautiful and has so much potential, and the location is perfect. Sadly, the atmosphere felt really lacking. We had an aperitivo on the roof terrace, but there was no music or staff, just a bare space with plastic furniture. The spritz we ordered was fizzy water with a drip of Aperol and no prosecco. Really disappointing.

The food was a real highlight, far from the usual repetitive pasta and meat. We had excellent risotto with pink gambas and citrus zest, octopus tempura, stockfish with Porcini, and homemade hummus with basil and mint. The restaurant is beautifully set in the garden, and the rooftop terrace has an amazing view, perfect for a sunset aperitif. Staff were super friendly. Staying here feels like stepping into the past while still having modern comfort.

The staff worked so hard to make Christmas at the Castelo perfect. We’ll definitely return.

A night in a Castle was a treat, and breakfast was great.

Mrs. Antonella greeted us with a smile, and we felt welcome right away when we came for a Valentine's Day stay at this beautiful 11th-century property. The restaurant staff treated us to excellent dishes. It was a lovely example of the warm hospitality typical of us Lucanians. Thank you, and see you soon.
