I paid the requested 50% deposit for a wedding stay at Alta Villa in October 2025, then had to cancel on September 30, 17 days before arrival. The website says bookings cancelled at least 14 days ahead receive a 50% refund, so I expected half my deposit back. Management wouldn't honor that policy, even after I politely emailed several times and sent a screenshot. They said the 50% I had already paid was the “50% interpretation.” That would leave anyone who paid a 50% deposit with no refund, which makes the written policy meaningless. The place may be beautiful, but this felt unfair and was very disappointing. I'd advise guests to confirm all terms in writing before paying.

Consuelo made our stay really happy. She was kind, friendly, and helpful, sorting out a dinner reservation and sharing travel suggestions. Our room had a fantastic view on three sides.

Consuelo, the owner, made us feel right at home and gave us useful tips for the area. She was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The stay at Alta Villa The Countryhouse LUXURY B&B was wonderful, with a beautiful, peaceful place and a very comfortable room. Thanks so much, Consuelo. We hope we can come back.

The pool has sunbeds and comfortable seats, plus umbrellas and trees for shade. It stays cool in the water, and the view is phenomenal. I could sit there for hours just looking at it. We could also park our car inside the gated property. We'd been looking for somewhere to stay in Piedmont and found Alta Villa. At first we were told it was full, but later Consuelo got in touch to say a cancellation had opened up a room. We were so pleased and arrived full of holiday expectations. Consuelo welcomed us right away and showed us our rooms. Each had what we needed, including a good bed, a lovely bathroom, and a little balcony that added something extra. Sitting out there to enjoy the beautiful view was wonderful. Consuelo was helpful in every way. A great place to explore the region, its food, and its wines!

Consuelo is the best, arranging restaurant and winery reservations with a big smile. Our room also had a beautiful balcony and stunning views, and the swimming pool looks out over a lovely scene. Alta Villa has everything we wanted in this wine area. We had an absolutely amazing stay and would definitely recommend it.
