Hotel Andes Family & Wellness

This was our third year in a row at Hotel Andes, and we couldn't have asked for a better holiday. The family-run place is really well organised, with professional, welcoming staff and plenty of facilities. It makes life easier for parents and lets the whole family enjoy being in the mountains. The kids have fun at the mini club while parents get a chance to relax, and the spa is a lovely place to unwind. At dinner, the menu changes every day and features local recipes and ingredients. The food is very good, and each evening has been a pleasure.

There's a sports rental shop conveniently located between the hotel and the cableway, whose entrance is only about 20 metres away. That makes this family-run hotel and spa a great base for a ski holiday, with very easy access to the slopes. It also has massage services, a fairly good-sized pool, and a mini club where children can play under the supervision of carers. The restaurant serves typical dishes too. Highly recommended.

A beautiful spot, and everything was just right.

The themed dinners were a hit with the kids, who could have fun downstairs with the entertainment team while we relaxed upstairs in the restaurant. That was one of the changes we noticed on our return this year, along with more interactive and interesting after-dinner activities. Ale and Checco brought plenty of stage presence, and Checco would be right at home at Zelig Lab! The whole children's team, led by experienced captain Domenico, is incredible. Cristiana, Alex, Sofi, Nicolò, and Raffaella showed kindness, intelligence, and empathy with all the children. Our daughter usually takes a while to trust new people, but in less than a day she was jumping into their arms like they were family. We came back after our first stay last year, and somehow the Andes family hotel exceeded our expectations again. Ramona and Alina were always attentive in the dining room, and Tiziano made us feel at home every evening with his knowledge of food and wine pairings. The kitchen staff also deserve thanks. Though we never see them in the dining room, they serve top-quality dishes made with excellent, carefully chosen ingredients, which is rare for hotel half-board meals. Thanks as well to reception and the Lasagna family for creating such a relaxing place for families to ski and play in the snow. The hotel is just 10 metres from the cable car and ski school office, so you can walk straight out in your ski boots and head up ready to ski. A stay also includes access to the snow playground on the Ciampedie overlook. See you next year!
