I’m still shocked by what happened in the sauna. We stayed at the hotel for a week and visited the spa and sauna each day. There was no staff member enforcing rules, and everyone, including me, wore swimsuits and towels in the sauna without any issue until the last day. Then a sauna employee named Manuel appeared and abruptly insisted that I take off my swimsuit. I was wrapped in a towel, so nobody could have known whether I had one on underneath. For religious reasons, I couldn’t do that. He made a huge scene and twice used physical force to get me out, grabbing my arms and trying to push me. He’s an adult man and I’m a young woman. This was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. Please train staff to handle situations like this without using physical force. The swimming pool was also out of service that day, so there wasn’t a real alternative for spending time in the spa area, and we couldn’t relax in the sauna either.

The staff were thoughtful at every step. Someone called while we were on the way to check that we were close. I slept through the breakfast delivery and left the person waiting outside the room for a while, but he stayed polite and handed me the tray when I opened the door. After checkout, we accidentally left a broken bag on the table, and a staff member called right away to check if we’d forgotten it. We were happy with the service.
