Hotel Domu Simius

Supermarkets and restaurants are just around the corner, easy to reach on foot, and there’s free parking on the street right in front. The beach is about 1.5 km away. We spent a very pleasant week here in a modern, spotless and quiet accommodation. Our room’s spacious terrace was a highlight, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. We’d happily come back and recommend the place.

The suite was clean and comfortable, and the hotel helped us get a beach umbrella. On our last day they also lent us one for Cagliari, which was really nice. But the balcony had little privacy, since people in other rooms could see us. We’d told the hotel when booking that this was our 10th anniversary, so arriving two hours before check-in and feeling unwelcome was disappointing. We only wanted to leave our luggage, which they said we could do, but the staff seemed confused and couldn’t find our room details. They were taking calls, and we got stressed wondering whether the room would be ready. In the end, they told us to come back two hours later. Nothing special was done for the anniversary. Even offering us water when we arrived would have been nice, and we were just thankful the room was available. At checkout, nobody asked how our stay was or said goodbye. Maybe our expectations were too high, but we wish we could have those days back and chosen somewhere we felt welcome and could enjoy our anniversary.

The deluxe family room was exceptionally clean, with new furniture and a phenomenal view. I’ve never seen a hotel room kept so clean, almost like a surgery room. The staff were also super nice and friendly. The AC had been turned on before we arrived, so the whole room was cool. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that. This may be the best hotel my family and I have stayed at in all our travels. Couldn’t recommend it more, 11/10.

Our flight delay meant we arrived late, but the owners made check-in easy and stress-free. They sent clear instructions and were very helpful throughout, and we appreciated their kindness and professionalism. We were there for just one night, and the room was spotless and well maintained. A wonderful experience, highly recommended.
