It's hard to enjoy a place where the dogs bark so loudly, often several at once. There's no real security either, since most apartment doors can be opened without a key. The furnishings feel like they're from the 1970s. A few appliances are newer, but amenities are often missing: no coffee maker, very few power outlets, and children's beds that I don't think are worth the price. Still, it's enough to live on.

We keep coming back to these homes in Villasimius. They sit outside town, so things are generally peaceful, and you'll need a car to get to the beaches. The houses are simple but practical, with a garage, veranda, and a little outdoor area. The terraced houses have more outdoor space, and many homes have panoramic views.

The garden and peaceful setting make this a good choice. It's simple and practical, with some of southern Sardinia's beautiful beaches just a short walk away.
